Anyone think the political humor coming from both politicians and comedy outlets is a little out of line?

I mean given the seriousness of the issues the USA and the world faces and how some people are suffering as a result. Is this a time to be joking about the things they are ? I don’t believe people should stop living. But even for me as someone who is not exactly starving to death I find some of it a little out of line. Thanks for your replies.

Yes.
It undermines the office and deflects from serious considerations of what the candidates say.
The precedent has been set, though, and I think we will have to get used to it.

If you watch a program that lampoons your political beliefs (such as the Daily Show or Colbert Report for conservatives, or South Park or talk radio for liberals), do you ever laugh if the parody has some truth to it? Do you ever watch shows that make fun of some of the beliefs you hold, purely for entertainment?
Happens to me all the time. I love South Park…and it lampoons everyones beliefs. I think we should all try to have a sense of humor about that kind of stuff…it makes living more fun.
