Of course the Pope … Of course the Pope wouldn’t support “redistribution of wealth”. That would mean he’d have to practice what he preached and pawn all of his “bling” in order to help people who are homeless and starving in the world.Growing up with a Catholic family I came to realize all of the hypocrisy within this form of Christianity. The bible states that man is not to bow down to ANY man and idolize him, yet Catholics believe the Pope is basically God incarnate and the holiest man on the planet…hmm.
As far as science/ … As far as science/religion: The Vatican held a symposium CELEBRATING DARWIN’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS a few months ago, and recognizes truth wherever it is found whether in revelation or by scientific method. The founder of genetics, Mendel, was an Austrian monk. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was both an eminent theologian and paleologist. Only uneducated or ignorant people think that Catholics should listen to idiots among the Christian fundamentalists who happen to agree with us on family issues.
and other western … and other western nations between the rich and the poor, espouses every person’s right to the chance to support themselves with a living wage, reaffirms right to migrate to seek a better life, and all but explicitly comes out to say that a progressive tax structure is a moral one. I’d like to remind those of you who know no history that the Catholic Churches, especially the Roman Catholic Church, have a very long history of treasuring both faith and reason while applying both to proper sphere.
Wow, there’s a lot … Wow, there’s a lot of very uninformed or poorly catechized Roman Catholics on this site. This particular Pope just issued his 3rd encyclical (formal, magisterial teaching document) that should have the GOP sh***ing their pants, since it disses fundamentalist Bible interp, deplores the wide gap between USA
you have it … you have it backwards. they are banning the creation theory and stifling the freedom of religion or even the ability to know all opinions on a topic because he liberals only believe in freedom for themselves, not for those who disagree w them. liberals here are intimidated by those w better educations and just resort to childish name calling when confronted w facts. its a sad state of common sense in thiscountry. as demonstrated in this vid by a non-catholic picking on religious beliefs
just because he … just because he said it then doesn’t make it doctrine. they need to have ecumanical council and all that. that is why there was a huge deal about when pelosi said christians believe in evolution prior to it being official doctrine
John Paul gave that … John Paul gave that Quote in 1996 my friend.
But it just breaks my heart, these “christians in the US”. Banging books and harassing non believers its wrong.
But well, in the US, it’s not really Roman Catholic. There are many of the Baptists, Apostolic church, Protestant church (which does not agree that there should be a pope).
Also Jehoves Witnesses and probably many more..
Roughly you could say that these people in the US give Christian a bad Reputation, just like terrorist give Islam.
that was only … that was only issued a year or 2 ago and i was only issued because the church was losing members based on that belief. so they came up with a blended theory
I made an error.
… I made an error.
The theory of Darwin and some of the Evolution is being accepted by the Roman Catholic church.
But not the Big bang though (which havent been approved by scientist either).
But we believe in the Evolution of Spieces and the that the earth is billions billions years old Ect, and in Galaxies Ect..
Everything except Big bang.
Go read this … Go read this article, Evolution and the Roman Catholic Church on Wikipedia.
I was meant to say Roman Catholic Church, that is right.
But before you call me dumb Christian.
I don’t doubt your ability to read, but I really doubt you will look at the article and learn a little.
It’s a lot easier to just make your own conclusions, right?
Quote from the Pope John Paul II: “…new findings lead us toward the recognition of evolution as more than an hypothesis.”
12301986, every … 12301986, every christian i know believe in Evolution and Science, and so does the Church according to the Vatican. At least that is how we do it here in Europe, dont know much about your country (Which i guessed was USA).
Banning history books and evolution books only happens in America. And it has nothing to do with Christianity, only bigotism and mental distortion.
It is interesting … It is interesting that they quote that parable. The only reason the workers said it was unfair is because they all got paid the same thing but started work at different times of the day. The price for any worker was 1 denarius for one day. They all worked one day so got paid the same thing. Some just worked longer but thats what they signed up for.
The animals were … The animals were created before humans in the Bible. I don’t believe that it was a literal “week” of creation. The Bible says day but we ume 24hr day but the Bible says that a “day to God is a thousand years to man” I think the “day” is just reference to the time period of certain creatures God created.
May I jst say, (btw … May I jst say, (btw I come in peace) That while there is no evidence of monkeys evolving into humans, neither is there any evidence other than the bible of Jesus and his ‘virgin’ mother. Also in the bible aparently God made Adam and Eve first. They were made on the first week. what about the thousands of years before that when there was Dinosaurs. There is proof of THEM. I dont know all of that stuff, but I doubt that there is a God.
FINALLY!!! Someone … FINALLY!!! Someone who agrees with me saying that buddhism is not really counted as a religion, but a way of life. Since I got interested in buddhism I have been a lot happier. I think people should try it, but if they dont want to, its their happiness.
i feel sorry for … i feel sorry for all of you atheists, you say we are full of crap? yeah im sure their was just a huge explosion creating everything, you are so full of crap! if we came from monkeys why are monkeys still around, scientist have yet to find any sign of known monkeys adapting into humans, never. still the same monkeys that were here thousands of years ago. then again everybody has their own opinion. and i think fox needs to realize who that quote came from , certainly not Jesus.
you are the dumbest … you are the dumbest christian i have ever heard from. the old testament is broken into 5 books called the pentatuk that cover creation, commandments, beatitudes ect. the new testament was written 300 years after jesus’ death and is made up of parables. “Christian Church” there is no such Christian church. there is a catholic church, christian is a catagory idiot. And catholics do not believe in evolution they believe in the book of genesis. you knowledge is pathetic
I’m already … I’m already familiar with the ten commandments. And WOW! Two whole laws. That’s quite a similarity there. Not to mention that our first amendment is in direct opposition to the first commandment.
no evidence that … no evidence that jesus was born of a virgin.
no evidence jesus did miracles.
no evidence jesus is son of god.
no evidence god exists.
from your comments i think you are mental, and i recommend you seek pysciatric help, as i believe you are a danger to the community.

Of course im not saying that the Catholic church does not believe that God made the earth!!!
But we believe (or rather, on paper believe) that God created us (not big bang), but the evolution of species we do believe in!.
And also bear in mind that Big Bang havent been approved 100% by scientist anyway.
