Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman Part 2

Dr. Watkins is a regular guest on CNN, FOX News, BET, CBS, ESPN, and other national media. He was the source of some controversy with Bill O’Reilly from the O’Reilly Factor, and has been a guest on other Fox Shows such as Hannity & Colmes. He has also publicly disputed Bill Cosby for stating that african-american youth and the hip hop generation are not very productive. Watkins wrote “What if George Bush were a Black Man?” and “Everything you ever wanted to know about college”, which he argues is an appeal to the MTV generation to look past 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, TI, Kanye West and others to explore their educational potential. Dr. Boyce is a Finance Professor at Syracuse University and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He recently spoke at The University of Kentucky and demanded that they increase their numbers of black students and faculty. He was also one of the instrumental black leaders behind the scenes during the cases with the Jena 6, Don Imus and Michael Vick. He worked closely with Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson, appearing on the air with them to suggest strategies to get Imus off the air. It was Dr. Watkins’ idea to challenge his corporate sponsors that led to Imus’ dismissal. He was also outspoken on Barry Bonds’ situation and the OJ Simpson trial. Watkins argues that Barry Bonds might be a jerk, but his alleged indiscretion is no worse than the evidence against Lance Armstrong for the use of performance enhancing drugs. He made his comments on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, The Wendy Williams Experience, CNN, FOX, BET, CBS and other networks.

    I hope, since it’s …
I hope, since it’s been 6mths that you left this statement, that you’ve had some kind of epiphany and wised-up. I don’t know why Oprah gets accused of supporting Obama just because he’s black, but all the white celebrities who supported McCain and Hillary don’t get all this hatred spewed at them and slapped with accusations of racism.

    economy for a few …
economy for a few months, which means by then, the economy could be recovering with an overinflated output, leading to yet another recession once the government projects resulting from the bailouts end.

  4. ovensleeper Says:

    I tend to believe …
I tend to believe that there’s a false perception that the bailouts were necessary. Certainly they’ll help the economy, but I tend to think they put too much money in the economy without much thought placed into it. As someone who is relatively knowledgeable in economics, agree or disagree with the bailouts, there is a point where there can actually be too much money placed into the economy. I understand how odd that seems, but in a situation such as this, the money won’t even set into the

obama is just cleaning up bush’s mess dude. granted geigtner is a , but our economy is setup in such a way that we can’t function without these financial institutions, so they’re really left without a choice

    Absolutely, the guy …
Absolutely, the guy was so humble and just wanted to help people. He had taken a trip in Asia and was shocked that many had no books, schools or libraries. He decided to quit his job and do something about it. Wish I could remember his name. He is a true hero.

    thanks hp’, that is …
thanks hp’, that is an incredible story, and I think this is a very good example of celebrities believing too much in their own importance and sense of achievement, when in fact their efforts are easily dwarfed by others of less noteriety. great story !

    A couple of years …
A couple of years ago I saw Oprah’s show with a man who left a successful career with microsoft to build schools for impoverished people around the world. Oprah was bragging about the “one” school she built in Africa. She asked the man how many schools he built and he said about 3000. The look on Oprah’s face was priceless. He was not a billionaire, just a guy with a sincere desire to help others.

Jeez, can you please make an insult that doesn’t involve my name? It shows a lack of intelligence if you use such an easy punch line. Besides, the election took it’s toll on me. Believe what you want to believe, but I’m not going to get in a debate with you here.

It’s not that I see Bush as a success by any means, but Obama’s bailouts are going to make Bush’s mistakes look small by comparison.

    “There’s only room …
“There’s only room for a let down with Obama.”

After eight years of rule by a congenitally corrupt, borderline moron son of the ruling class, how much further down can this nation go?

And don’t apologize for using “the N word.” Write it all you want … use it all you want. America was founded on hatred. It’s an American tradition. Hatred and violence. Americans have been spreading them around the world since the Republic was established. Particularly during the twentieth century.

  17. ovensleeper Says:

    I’m not being a …
I’m not being a baby about it, in fact, I’m going to skip my birthday on the 21st as an act of pity for the American people. I’m sorry for using the N word, I shouldn’t have resorted to that, but you’ll soon see that Obama isn’t as great as he’s been made up to be. NO ONE can live up to the image he’s been given. There’s only room for a let down with Obama.

  23. ovensleeper Says:

    Yeah, I’ll be more …
Yeah, I’ll be more specific, she only supports Obama because he’s black and I’m tired of seeing her face promoting him on TV because she hates us crackers. We didn’t ask for racism, it was thrown upon us this time! Got it?
